Wellness and preventive veterinary care focus on maintaining your pet’s health and catching potential issues early—before they become more serious. Regular preventive care helps pets live longer, healthier lives and allows veterinarians to tailor care to your pet’s changing needs at every life stage. Preventative and wellness care may include the following:

Our dermatology services focus on conditions affecting your pet’s skin, ears, and haircoat. We offer in-house diagnostics such as ear and skin cytology, skin scrapes, and cultures to help identify the underlying cause of dermatologic concerns. We have extensive experience managing environmental allergies—which are especially common in our region—as well as flea and food allergies. When advanced care is needed, we can coordinate referrals to local board-certified veterinary dermatologists to ensure your pet receives comprehensive treatment. Our dermatology services may include:
Treatment of ear Infections
Flea and tick control
Blood allergy testing
Food allergy management, hydrolyzed diets, and homemade diets
Environmental allergy management and immunotherapy
Treatment and prevention of skin infections or hot spots
Referrals when needed

Veterinary internal medicine focuses on diagnosing and managing complex and chronic medical conditions that affect your pet’s internal organs and body systems, such as the heart, liver, kidneys, endocrine system, and gastrointestinal tract. Through routine physical examinations and bloodwork, we monitor for common diseases and detect changes early. When conditions are identified, we provide careful, ongoing management using a combination of diet and lifestyle adjustments, medications, diagnostic testing, and regular medical progress examinations to support your pet’s long-term health and quality of life. Our internal medicine care may include:
Heart diseases such as mitral valve disease or dilated cardiomyopathy
Respiratory diseases such as collapsing trachea, laryngeal paralysis, upper respiratory infections, and feline asthma
Diagnosis and treatment of diabetes, Cushing’s disease, Addison’s disease, and other endocrine disorders
Pancreatitis
Gastrointestinal diseases such as allergies, inflammatory bowel disease, lymphoma, etc.

Veterinary oncology focuses on the diagnosis and management of cancer in pets. As a general veterinary practice, we help identify concerning signs for cancers through physical examinations and diagnostics. When cancer is diagnosed in a pet, we guide families through treatment and care decisions. When appropriate, we coordinate referrals to veterinary oncologists for advanced diagnostics or therapies, while continuing to support your pet and family throughout every stage of care. Cancer management may include the following:
Regular examinations and diagnostics
Nutrition support and lifestyle adjustments
Pain control
Palliative care protocols
Referrals for surgery, chemotherapy, and/or radiation

Neurologic care focuses on conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles. We provide initial screening through physical and neurologic examinations and diagnostic testing such as bloodwork and other baseline assessments. We also facilitate medical management for many neurologic conditions. For advanced diagnostics or specialized treatment, we coordinate referrals to local board-certified veterinary neurologists. Neurologic care for your pet may include:
Seizure medications
Phenobarbital blood level testing
Intervertebral disc disease treatment and long-term management
Vestibular conditions
Horner’s syndrome
Behavioral changes
Degenerative disease of the muscles and spinal cord

General veterinary eye care focuses on evaluating and managing common conditions affecting the eyes and vision. We perform thorough eye examinations to assess eye health and identify concerns such as redness, discharge, irritation, injury, or vision changes. Basic diagnostics and treatments may be provided when appropriate. If advanced testing or specialized care is needed, we coordinate referrals to local board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists to ensure your pet receives expert eye care. Eye conditions we often diagnose and/or treat include:
Conjunctivitis
Corneal ulcerations
Dry eye disease
Abnormal eyelashes
Cataracts
Glaucoma

Behavioral care focuses on assessing changes in your pet’s behavior that may impact their health, safety, or quality of life. We evaluate behavioral concerns through history, physical examination, and discussion of your pet’s environment, routine, and lifestyle to help identify medical or situational contributors. Basic management may include environmental adjustments and medication support when appropriate. For more complex or specialized behavioral needs, referrals to qualified trainers or board-certified veterinary behaviorists are available. Behavioral care we offer includes:
Pet body language assessment
Puppy/kitten socialization
Personalized home management plans
Calming supplements
Situational anxiety medications
Daily behavior modifying medications

Nutritional care is an important part of your pet’s overall health and wellbeing. We assess your pet’s nutrition by reviewing their current diet, lifestyle, activity level, medical conditions, and home environment. We also evaluate body weight and body condition to determine whether your pet needs to gain, lose, or maintain weight. Based on these factors, we provide individualized recommendations to help support appropriate nutrition, achieve and maintain a healthy body condition, and promote long-term health at every life stage. Our nutrition and weight management care may include:
Diet evaluation
Assistance in creating balanced homemade diets
Personalized weight loss or weight gain plans
Consultations with food companies or nutritionists
Referrals to board certified nutritionists when desired or needed

While we are trained in traditional (Western) veterinary medicine, we recognize the growing interest in—and legitimacy of—integrative approaches to pet care. We believe that combining evidence-based Western medicine with complementary integrative therapies can provide well-rounded, effective veterinary care. We are committed to continually learning about safe and effective integrative options and welcome open conversations with pet owners who have specific interests or questions. When specialized integrative treatments are desired, we can also provide referrals to local veterinarians who offer services such as acupuncture or Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

Pain assessment is a key part of maintaining your pet’s comfort and quality of life. We evaluate pain in pets of all ages, most commonly related to orthopedic conditions, neurologic disorders, and osteoarthritis. Pain assessment includes physical examination, mobility evaluation, and discussion of changes you may notice at home. Management is tailored to each pet and may include maintaining an appropriate body condition, nutritional support, muscle-strengthening and mobility plans, medications, and referrals for additional diagnostics or therapies such as x-rays, physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, or specialty care when needed.

Senior pet care focuses on supporting your pet’s health, comfort, and quality of life as they age. It includes regular wellness exams to identify age-related changes early, along with personalized care plans to manage chronic conditions such as arthritis, muscle loss, kidney disease, diabetes, heart disease, and others. Senior care also emphasizes pain management, mobility support, nutrition guidance, and help with behavioral or lifestyle changes that can come with aging. As pets enter their golden years, we provide compassionate, individualized care—including thoughtful end-of-life planning—to ensure they remain comfortable, supported, and well cared for every step of the way.

Hospice care focuses on comfort, dignity, and quality of life for pets facing serious illness or age-related decline. Care may include recurring in-home visits and telemedicine check-ins to assess your pet’s comfort, provide guidance, and support decision-making. Supportive treatments such as subcutaneous fluids and pain medications may be administered, along with ongoing, compassionate conversations about your pet’s condition and when humane euthanasia may be the kindest option.
When the time comes, humane euthanasia can be performed peacefully in your home, where your pet and family are most comfortable. We strive to provide a calm and respectful experience and can assist with aftercare arrangements, including burial boxes or cremation services, to support you during this difficult time.
Pricing

New Patient Consultation - $300
Our initial consultation is required for all new patients and is a one-time, 1.5-hour, in-home appointment. This visit allows you and your pet to get to know Dr. Long and our technicians, while giving us time to understand you, your pet, and your unique needs.
The consultation includes a welcome package, a comprehensive exam at your pet’s own pace, diet and lifestyle evaluations, and a customized care plan. You’ll have time for questions, and we will set up your online pharmacy account for easy access to medications and prescriptions.
Diagnostics, bloodwork, vaccines, medications, recommended treatments, and travel fees are not included in the consultation price but can be completed during the visit if desired. Additional pets may be discussed or examined for $100 per pet, with an added 30 minutes per pet.

Annual Wellness Examinations - $250
Annual wellness examinations take place yearly after the initial consultation and are designed to provide a thorough assessment of your pet’s overall health and well-being. These appointments are scheduled for one hour and are conducted in the comfort of your home, allowing ample time to work at your pet’s pace.
During this exam, we assess your pet’s complete health status, manage any existing conditions, and identify developing diseases early. During the appointment time, we will update any recommended diagnostics such as heartworm testing, prescription including heartworm prevention, and there will be time to address any concerns or questions you have about your pet. Each annual examination includes a comprehensive physical exam and an updated, customized care plan tailored to your pet’s current needs.
Diagnostics, bloodwork, vaccines, medications, recommended treatments, and travel fees are not included in the examination price. Additional pets may be discussed or examined for $100 per pet, with an added 30 minutes per pet.

Express Annual Examinations - $175
Express annual examinations are 30-minute, per-pet appointments conducted in the comfort of your home. They are ideal for healthy pets requiring routine care such as vaccinations, heartworm testing, or other basic preventive services. These visits are best suited for pets who are comfortable with handling and do not have significant anxiety, fear-based aggression, or special handling needs.
Eligibility for Express Annual Examinations will be determined during your New Patient Consultation.
Diagnostics, bloodwork, vaccines, medications, recommended treatments, and travel fees are not included in the examination price. Additional pets may be discussed or examined for $100 per pet, with an added 30 minutes per pet.

Reccurring Examinations - $200
Recurring examinations are visits that take place outside of your pet’s annual wellness exam, typically to address medical concerns that arise throughout the year such as ear infections, allergies, limping, gastrointestinal upset, tumor evaluations, behavior concerns, and more. These one-hour, in-home appointments include a comprehensive examination of your pet.
Diagnostics, bloodwork, vaccines, medications, recommended treatments, and travel fees are not included in the examination price. Additional pets may be discussed or examined for $100 per pet, with an added 30 minutes per pet.

Litter Examinations - $200 + $50 per Puppy or Kitten
In-home litter examinations for puppies or kittens are scheduled for one hour plus 15 minutes per puppy/kitten and include a comprehensive evaluation of each individual puppy or kitten. These exams focus on identifying common congenital conditions such as heart murmurs, cleft palates, umbilical hernias, and cryptorchidism.
Litter examinations also include a DHPP (puppies) or FVRCP (kittens) vaccine for each puppy or kitten, as well as a dose of dewormer for each.
We recommend starting litter examinations when the litter is 6 weeks old and repeating them every 3 weeks until the puppies or kittens go to their forever homes or reach 16 weeks of age. Exam fees apply to each home visit.
Please note that litter examinations do not include evaluation of the dam or sire. If you would like either examined, this can be added for $100 per pet, with an additional 30 minutes per pet.

Hospice & Home Euthansia - TBD
Fees for recurring hospice visits and in-home euthanasia services are currently being finalized. Please contact us directly if your pet requires hospice care or in-home euthanasia so we can provide personalized guidance and support.

Telemedicine - $75
Telemedicine appointments are conducted for current clients via Google Meet and are scheduled for 30 minutes. These virtual visits are ideal for medical progress discussions, consultations, or questions from pet owners that fall outside the scope of a previous in-home examination.

Travel Fees - $1 per Driving Minute
There is a one-way travel fee of $1/driving minute that is calculated from our administrative office building located at 103 S Venture Dr. Greenville, SC.
